Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
Articles
Guidelines for the Publication of Scientific Articles
1. Presentation
Accepted Languages:
RCMOS accepts manuscripts in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French.
Publication in the Original Language:
Articles submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, English, or French will be published in the language of submission, without translation.
Types of Manuscripts:
The journal accepts various manuscript formats, including original research, review articles, investigative analyses, discussion papers, and opinion articles, among others.
2. Corresponding Author
Responsibilities:
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal throughout the submission and publication process.
Requirements:
The corresponding author must ensure that all requirements and instructions have been fulfilled before submission.
Contact Information:
The corresponding author must provide complete contact information (telephone and email) that is properly registered in the journal's system.
3. Authorship
Author Contributions:
All listed authors must have actively participated in the preparation of the manuscript, preferably contributing to the conception of the study, data collection, or data analysis.
Author Limit:
Each article may include up to five authors; it is recommended that the corresponding author conduct the submission process.
Authorship Changes:
Changes in authorship may only be requested before publication through a formal request submitted by the corresponding author.
4. Authorizations and Acknowledgment
Authors' Responsibility:
All authors assume responsibility for the content of the article and for the final approval of the submitted manuscript.
Inclusion of Researchers:
Only researchers who directly participated in the study should be included as authors.
Changes and Acknowledgment:
Any changes in authorship after submission must be justified and formally requested by the corresponding author before final publication.
5. Ethical and Additional Considerations
Ethical Issues:
Ethical considerations must be clearly described, especially in research involving human subjects, in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
Conflict of Interest and Funding:
The authors must properly declare conflicts of interest and funding sources to ensure the study's transparency.
Originality Verification:
Authors are responsible for performing plagiarism checks and ensuring the quality and integrity of images and other visual elements.
6. Formatting Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to RCMOS must follow the journal's formatting guidelines, which include the following elements:
Title:
The title must be presented in Portuguese and in one of the following languages: English, Spanish, or French. It should be clear, concise, and accurately reflect the content of the article.
Authorship:
The list of authors must include the complete affiliation of each author, providing sufficient information for identification and contact.
Abstract:
The abstract must be presented in Portuguese and in a second language (English, Spanish, or French), summarizing the study's objectives, methods, results, and conclusions in a clear, informative paragraph.
Introduction:
The introduction should contextualize the topic, present the methodology used, and justify the relevance of the research.
Theoretical Framework:
This section should include a review of relevant literature, outlining the main concepts and previous studies that support the research.
Results and Discussion (optional):
Results should be presented objectively, followed by a discussion relating the findings to the existing literature. This section is optional and may be integrated or presented separately depending on the needs of the study.
Final Considerations:
A summary of the main findings and implications of the research, as well as suggestions for future studies.
References:
All sources cited in the text must be listed according to the citation style recommended by the journal. The standard adopted by RCMOS is ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards), specifically NBR 6023:2022, which establishes updated guidelines for bibliographic references. However, for social science studies, APA style (American Psychological Association) is also accepted. For studies in the health sciences, the Vancouver style, commonly used in medical publications, is accepted.
Style and Formatting:
The text must be formatted in Times New Roman, size 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing.
Page Limit:
The complete manuscript must contain between 5 and 25 pages, including all sections, references, tables, and figures. Authors should ensure that the content is well structured and concise, respecting this limit to facilitate the review and publication process.

To assist with formatting and structuring their research article, authors may access the journal's template here.
Important:
After the manuscript is published, the inclusion, exclusion, or modification of authorship, as well as changes to the content, will not be permitted. These restrictions are essential to preserve the integrity and transparency of the editorial process and to protect the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved.

Experimental Data
Objective:
The Experimental Data section of the Revista Científica Multidisciplinar o Saber (RCMOS) aims to disseminate raw and experimental data, essential for the transparency, reproducibility, and integrity of scientific research. The publication of experimental data seeks to contribute to the expansion of scientific knowledge and enable other researchers to replicate or validate the results presented.
Types of Contributions Accepted:
Contributions in the form of raw data, experimental sets, test results, quantitative or qualitative metrics, and any other type of data relevant to the academic community will be accepted. These data must have applicability and interest for the advancement of the field of study they are intended for.
Languages:
Experimental data can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French, according to the authors' preferences, as long as the content is clear and easily understandable to the international scientific community.
Corresponding Author's Responsibility:
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that the submitted data comply with ethical, scientific, and research integrity standards. Additionally, they must ensure that all data are accompanied by clear information, such as the methodology used and the conditions under which the data were collected, to guarantee the reproducibility of the experiments. The corresponding author must provide complete contact information, including phone and email, to facilitate communication during the editorial and review process.
Authorship and Contribution:
- All authors must have actively participated in the collection, generation, or analysis of the presented data.
- The description of the data should be clear, objective, and relevant to the field of study, ensuring the intellectual value of the submitted material.
- The responsibility for the content lies with the authors, who must be fully involved in conducting the experiments or analyzing the data.
The journal establishes a limit of up to 5 authors per contribution, including the corresponding author. If more than 5 authors need to be included, an additional fee will be charged for each extra author. This measure aims to ensure the quality and efficiency of the editorial process, as well as to guarantee that each contribution is appropriately monitored and validated by all involved.
Approval and Involvement:
By submitting the experimental data, the authors affirm their responsibility and commitment to the presented content.
The final approval of the data set must be carried out only by researchers directly involved in the collection or analysis of the data. The inclusion of authors who have not contributed substantially to the work is not permitted.
Changes After Submission:
Changes to authorship or associated information must be requested before publication.
Requests for changes must be accompanied by the reason for the change, and all authors involved must agree to the modification, confirming it in writing.
Ethical and Legal Considerations:
- The submitted data must not contain fraudulent or fabricated information.
- Any conflicts of interest must be transparently declared.
- The funding source for the study must be indicated, as well as any relevant financial or material support for the research.
Formatting Guidelines:
- Title: A clear title that describes the data set and the experiment objectively.
- Introduction: A brief description of the research problem and the importance of the presented data. Explain the purpose of the experimental data set and how it contributes to the field of study.
- Methodology: A detailed explanation of the experimental method used, including procedures, materials, and equipment. Information about the conditions under which the experiments were conducted, such as the environment, temperature, time, etc. Description of the processes of data collection, filtering, analysis, and/or processing, if applicable. If the experiment involves statistical analysis, describe the tests or models used.
- Results: A concise presentation of the most important results. A brief analysis of the presented data, explaining its implications for the research or field of study. Comparisons with previous experiments, if any, are also relevant.
- Reproducibility Considerations: Detail how the data can be reproduced by other researchers, including references to previous publications or procedure manuals, if necessary. Identify potential sources of error or limitations in data collection and analysis, so that other researchers can understand the challenges related to reproducibility.
- Conclusion: A summary of the key findings from the experimental data set and their implications for the research. It need not be extensive, but it should emphasize the importance of the data.
- Funding Sources and Conflicts of Interest: If applicable, include the sources of funding for the experiment. A declaration of any conflicts of interest related to the research.
Editorial Objective:
The journal aims to uphold high ethical and scientific standards, promoting the quality of publications and the integrity of research. Authors are encouraged to rigorously follow the established guidelines to facilitate the editorial process and ensure that their contributions have an impact on advancing science.
Case Reports
General Instructions: The Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal "O Saber" (RCMOS) accepts manuscripts in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French. Articles will be published in the language they were submitted, without translation into other languages. RCMOS adheres to international editorial standards and accepts various types of manuscripts, including Case Reports.
Corresponding Author: The corresponding author is responsible for communication during the publication process and ensuring compliance with all requirements. The author's complete information, including phone and email, must be provided in the journal's system.
Authorship: All authors must actively participate in constructing the text, especially in the study's conception, data acquisition or analysis, and article elaboration.
Authorizations/Recognition: Upon submitting the work, authors assume responsibility for the entire content, and only involved researchers should be included in the work. Changes in authorship must be requested before publication and accompanied by written confirmation from all authors.
Ethical and Legal Considerations: Works must adhere to ethical principles of the Helsinki Declaration for medical research involving humans. Authors must ensure the absence of fraudulent data or results, disclose conflicts of interest, and report funding sources.
Formatting Guidelines: Articles should have between 5 and 25 pages, with manuscripts exceeding 30 pages published as an ebook. The text must follow specific formatting standards, including Times New Roman 12-point font, defined margins and spacing, and provide an abstract and keywords in Portuguese and a foreign language.
Article Structure: The article structure must adhere to specific standards for abstract, introduction, development, and references, following citation and session numbering norms.
This policy aims to ensure the quality and ethics of publications in RCMOS, promoting excellence in the dissemination of Case Reports. Authors are encouraged to strictly adhere to these guidelines to facilitate the editorial process.
Reviews
We accept systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, and other literature syntheses that provide a critical analysis of a specific topic
Copyright Notice
Material protected by copyright and plagiarism. In the case of copyrighted material being reproduced in the manuscript, full attribution must be provided in the text. If necessary, a documentary authorization document must be submitted to the Editorial Committee as a supplementary document. It is the responsibility of the authors, not the Journal or the editors or reviewers, to inform, in the article, the authorship of texts, data, figures, images, and/or maps previously published elsewhere.
If there is any suspicion about the originality of the material, the Editorial Committee may check the manuscript for plagiarism. In cases where plagiarism is confirmed, the manuscript will be returned without further review and without the possibility of resubmission. Self-plagiarism (i.e., the use of identical phrases from previously published documents by the same author) is also not acceptable.
To reinforce the author's copyright, the Journal uses the Creative Commons license - CC-BY 4.0. This means that articles can be shared and their subjects modified, as long as proper credit is given in full. The license logo remains static at the bottom of the journal. It is worth noting that the author(s) may request copyright of the manuscript without restrictions, even if the article has already been published in the journal.
Privacy Statement
This Privacy Policy describes how the Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal O Saber (RCMOS), an initiative of Editora Acadêmica Aluz (hereinafter referred to as the PUBLISHER), collects, uses, and protects personal information provided by authors or their representatives (hereinafter referred to as AUTHORS) in relation to the scientific publication agreement (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement).
The privacy and security of personal information are of great importance to the PUBLISHER. AUTHORS are encouraged to read this policy carefully before agreeing to the Agreement.
1. Information Collection
The PUBLISHER may collect personal information from AUTHORS, including name, address, contact information, institutional affiliation, details regarding the submitted work, and other relevant data necessary for the editorial and contractual processes.
2. Use of Information
Collected information will be used exclusively for purposes related to the execution of the Agreement, including:
- management of the editorial and publication process;
- communication with AUTHORS during the evaluation and editing stages;
- dissemination of the published work;
- compliance with administrative and academic obligations related to publication.
3. Information Sharing
The PUBLISHER may share the AUTHORS’ information with professionals involved in the editorial process, such as reviewers, editors, layout editors, and other collaborators necessary for the publication of the work, always ensuring confidentiality.
The PUBLISHER does not sell personal data nor transfer authors’ rights to third parties without authorization.
4. Storage and Preservation
RCMOS uses the Zenodo and Crossref systems for cloud storage and digital registration of articles, ensuring availability even during temporary server downtime.
Additionally, the journal complies with legal deposit requirements at the Brazilian National Library, according to Law No. 10.994 of December 14, 2004.
The journal is also integrated with digital preservation systems LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, ensuring long-term preservation and access to published content.
5. Authors’ Rights
Authors whose works are accepted for publication in RCMOS agree to:
- the application of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0);
- electronic publication of the work by the journal;
- indexing of the article in national and international databases, academic directories, digital libraries, and bibliometric platforms in which the journal is or may become indexed.
6. Data Retention
Personal information of AUTHORS will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the obligations established in the Agreement and to comply with applicable legal and institutional requirements.
7. Acceptance of this Policy
By accepting the publication Agreement, AUTHORS agree to this Privacy Policy and authorize the PUBLISHER to collect and use personal information as described herein.
8. Policy Updates
The PUBLISHER may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in data collection, use, or protection practices. Authors are encouraged to review this policy regularly.
9. Use of Contact Information
Names and addresses provided in this journal will be used exclusively for purposes related to scientific publication and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties without editorial or legal necessity.
