Private security is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the integration of trained security guards, surveillance technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. This article analyzes how the convergence of the human factor and technological advancement can redefine the sector, especially in the United States, where private security already represents one of the largest global markets. It highlights the importance of balancing the security guard—as a critical decision-making agent—and emerging technologies such as biometrics, big data, and predictive software. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the economic implications of this integration for companies, governments, and investors, considering the impact on job creation, operational efficiency, and the reduction of social costs associated with crime.
