Plagiarism
The Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal O Saber (RCMOS) actively verifies the originality of all submitted manuscripts using the similarity detection software Copyspider. If any suspicion of plagiarism is identified, the Editorial Board conducts a detailed analysis of the manuscript.
Plagiarism Verification Process
1. Similarity Identification: The Editorial Board uses detection tools to identify potential cases of plagiarism or excessive similarity in submitted manuscripts.
2. Editorial Analysis: Suspected cases are carefully analyzed to assess the originality of the content and the adequacy of citations and references.
3. Editorial Decision: If plagiarism is confirmed, the manuscript will be rejected and returned to the authors without further editorial processing and without the possibility of resubmission of the same text.
4. Self-Plagiarism: The reuse of substantial portions of previously published work by the same author without proper citation or contextualization is not considered acceptable practice.
Consequences of Plagiarism
Plagiarism constitutes a serious ethical violation and may result in editorial actions, including immediate rejection of the manuscript and possible notification of the authors’ affiliated institutions.
RCMOS reaffirms its commitment to academic and scientific integrity and adopts a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
