RCMOS Award – Academic Merit Recognition

The RCMOS – Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal O Saber establishes the RCMOS Award – Academic Merit Recognition, granted annually to authors and reviewers who demonstrate outstanding technical excellence, scientific rigor, and significant contributions to the academic community.

The award has an institutional and competitive nature and is granted through a formal application and technical evaluation conducted by a Judging Committee.

Nature of the Award

The RCMOS Award is an institutional distinction granted on the basis of academic merit, following evaluation based on objective scoring criteria and a collegial decision by the International Editorial Board.

Categories

The award is structured into two categories:

1. Authorial Excellence
Recognition granted to authors who demonstrate high methodological rigor, originality, and academic impact in their publications.

2. Peer Review Excellence
Recognition granted to external reviewers who stand out for the technical quality of their evaluations, analytical consistency, and adherence to editorial deadlines.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted formally during the official Annual Cycle period.

The application is subject to an Application Administrative Fee (AAF), intended to cover administrative processing, technical analysis, and formal evaluation by the Judging Committee.

Evaluation Methodology

Evaluation is conducted through a score-based assessment system, considering criteria such as:

  • Methodological rigor
  • Scientific originality and relevance
  • Academic impact and applicability
  • Institutional contribution

The minimum required score is defined in the official regulations for each annual cycle.

Judging Committee

The Judging Committee comprises senior members of the RCMOS International Editorial Board, including researchers from Brazil and abroad.

Transparency and Selectivity

At the end of each annual cycle, the following indicators are published:

  • Total number of applications received
  • Total number of eligible applications
  • Total number of awards granted
  • Annual selectivity rate

Award Recognition

Award recipients receive:

  • Official Academic Merit Recognition Certificate
  • Institutional announcement on the journal’s official website
  • Formal registration in the annual award record

Academic and Professional Purpose

The recognition granted by RCMOS may be included in the recipient’s academic and professional portfolio, strengthening the record of scientific and editorial contributions.

The RCMOS Award is granted annually, according to an official calendar published at the beginning of each cycle.
