Abstract

Understanding the applicability of Innovation Management in business logistics and its practical effects in terms of Information Technology and new technological trends shows that productivity is directly optimized and results in evaluative processes through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for decision-making in logistics within the production chain. Thus, technology, as a result of innovation strategies, effectively contributes to logistics planning, which leads to increased dynamism and flow in logistics sectors and service levels, creating a network of connections that drives productivity to achieve organizational efficiency goals in relation to global market demands and increased profitability. In this way, establishing relationships between the technological structures of logistics sectors, production processes, and KPI evaluation highlights how Innovation Management operates within an organization. This research was developed using a qualitative approach to the studied variables with an explanatory objective, aiming to investigate the relationships between the main topics involved and to establish interpretations and conclusions based on the study's theoretical framework. Statistical data and the development of tables were used to support the understanding of the addressed themes, aligning the content with the applied purpose. Therefore, it was revealed that a cohesive relationship is established between aspects of innovation management for technology development, and its direct applications significantly increase the productivity of logistics sectors, just as the evaluation of results represents positive aspects for logistics decision-making.
