Management of medical devices and equipment based and international accreditation methods JC, QMENTUM and ABNT IEC 60601 standards

Currently, equipment maintenance is not only about repairing damaged equipment but also about a management system that greatly contributes to ensuring safety in care processes within health institutions. An effective management system is possible provided that all parameters guiding it are delineated very clearly. Thus, this work presents all the development for the effective systematization of the management of medical equipment of a group of philanthropic hospitals based on the accreditations JCI (2016), QMENTUM (2016), RDC 02 of 2010, 3 20 of 2012, as well as the series of Brazilian standards ABNT NBR IEC 60601. This paper presents sample data from the management systematization work, along with its respective particularities, classifications, requirements, and periodicities, to ensure patient safety in care processes through active participation in the management of medical devices and equipment.
