The Logistics of School Feeding in Brazil: Intersections between Social Policies, Education and Food Security

School feeding in Brazil plays a fundamental role in the integration of public policies on education, food security and social inclusion. The National School Feeding Program (PNAE) is one of the main pillars of this policy, benefiting millions of students from the public network. Despite this, little is discussed about the complex logistics involved in the supply of snacks, which includes steps such as acquisition, transportation, storage and preparation of food. This structure, often invisible, is essential for the success of food policy in schools.
